(Falls Church, VA)- On Wednesday, CASA, with more than 4,000 members in Virginia serving the immigrant community, will celebrate the grand opening of a new office in Falls Church, VA this Wednesday in a luncheon celebration of the diverse neighborhood of its new locale. The expansion to Falls Church will allow the organization to better serve and more efficiently handle the growing necessities of the immigrant communities.
CASA’s Falls Church office opens just one year after the grand opening of its first Virginia office in Arlington where it shares space with Ethiopian Community Economic Development. Its new location, nestled in the middle of a vibrant South-East Asian community, will allow CASA – the largest organization of Latino immigrants in the DC metro region – to expand its partnership with other immigrant communities.
“We are proud of the growth and outreach we’ve had with the community,” said Lindolfo Carballo, Director of CASA’s work in Virginia. “Celebrating CASA’s 30 years of service by opening a new Falls Church office underscores CASA’s commitment to go wherever the immigrant community needs us in places where we can achieve long-term change.”
CASA’s new office will be located at 330B-S Virginia Ave. Falls Church, VA 22046. It joins an existing Virginia physical office in Arlington and member activists stretching from Fredericksburg to Woodbridge, from Richmond to Winchester, from Herndon, to Alexandria. Since CASA’s humble beginnings in 1985 assisting Central American refugees fleeing wars and civil strife, we have worked tirelessly to bring immigrant communities out of the shadows and into greater power and dignity through a combination of direct services and organizing for long-term change.
